Sometimes it seems we are so far away from God that he can’t hear us. Nothing could be further from the truth. God is always looking for us, even in a distance. He longs to have an abiding relationship with us. When we desire an authentic relationship with Him, he will never turn a deaf ear to us. Starting a relationship with God begins with Jesus. It begins with believing in who Jesus is and what he has done for us. As you look to bring God into your life, begin by praying the prayer below:
Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know I need you, and I want you in my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I know you are knocking at the door of my heart, and I choose to open it. By faith, I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen
